Biography of Joe Exotic

Joe  was   born   in Garden City,  Kansas   to   Francis  and  Shirley Schreibvogel where their family worked a farm until he was the  age of  13.  Moving to Centennial , Wyoming where he finished Junior High School  and   then  moved to Pilot Point , ,Texas  graduating    High  School   and  moving on   to   the  Police   Academy overcoming the challenge  of  becoming Texas’s   youngest  Police Chief.  Later he and  his brother G.W. Schreibvogal, became pet store owners in Arlington, Texas  where it became one of  the largest  independent pet stores in the state.  On  October 7, 1997,  a tragedy hit home.  Garold Schreibvogal   (G.W.), was  involved  in  a serious car crash caused by  a drunk driver, leaving him on life support for 7 days.  The Doctor’s fought to do  everything  possible to keep Garold (G.W.)  alive, but  in the  end attempts failed.  On October 14, 1997,  Garold  Wayne’s  life support system  was shut  off.  Joe made some  promises  to G.W.  that his    life  an death would   have   a meaning.  Within the following year the pet store was sold and Joe along with his parents invested the profits to establish the G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Foundation in Wynnewood, Oklahoma in G.W.’s honor.  Joe started his shows and performing magic on a  regular basis in order to pass the message  along to  people about the dangers of  drugs,   alcohol l and  drunk driving. Joe adds magic and learning about the environment and our precious animals of the world to  enhance and inform the public.  Naming the show “Mystical Magic of the Endangered”,  the show has grown to be more popular by the year and to date has been seen in hundreds of places from the Super Dome in  New Orleans to the Ford Center in Oklahoma, to the smallest fairs and festivals in the United States.
